In this talk, we will discuss a recent result obtained in collaboration with Davide Giovagnoli and Luis Silvestre, where we solve a standing conjecture asserting that, as in the local setting, solutions of the homogeneous equation are still Hölder differentiable.

Marc Genton, KAUST distinguished professor of statistics, and his former postdoctoral fellow Stefano Castruccio, have jointly won the 2017 Wilcoxon Award for best applications paper in Technometrics. Technometrics is a journal of statistics for the Physical, Chemical and Engineering Sciences, and is published quarterly by the American Society for Quality and the American Statistical Association.
